Ir Tim Leung, CEng CSci FICE FIMMM FHKIE PRE(Civil) NEC Pro 正高级工程师, is a seasoned professional in civil engineering with over 30 years of experience in infrastructure development in Hong Kong. He currently serves as the Director of Business Development at China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited, where he plays a pivotal role in strategic planning, tendering and project management for major civil infrastructure projects. Throughout his career, Mr Leung has specialised in tunnelling and underground works, initially working with leading engineering consultancies. He has held various leadership positions, including Executive Director at a prominent main contractor.
As an advocate for industry-wide collaboration, Mr Leung excels in fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring successful project outcomes through open communication and trust. He has demonstrated his organisational skills by successfully planning and executing conferences that promote the NEC ethos, notably serving as Co-Chairman of the organising committee for the conference "Innovation and Technology: Building a Smart and Livable City", from the Civil Division of the HKIE.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr Leung is actively engaged with the academic community and supports the construction and engineering sectors. He has published numerous papers at international conferences and has shared insights on the benefits of collaboration within the industry. His commitment to advancing the profession is exemplified by his roles as Vice-Chairman of the Civil Engineering Committee at the HKCA, as an Advisor to the HKUEAA and Past President of the IOM3 HK.
